Elden Ring: Smithing Stones Complete Guide in 2022

The Elden Ring Smithing Stones can be found throughout the Lands Between and can be used to improve your weapons and craft at anvils or blacksmiths. Increasing the power of your weapons to +1 and beyond is an extremely important move in Elden Ring, as it allows you to boost both your gear and yourself. However, you’ll need a lot of them for upgrades, and each one has a different value and rarity to consider.

Your basic weapons will require tier 1 Smithing Stones (written by Elden Ring as “Smithing Stone [1]”) initially, but as you level them up and demand better quality resources for enhancements, the tier required will climb. Whatever tier you require, we can show you where to get all of the Elden Ring Smithing Stones you’ll ever require, as well as how to farm and purchase them.

While you can find them all over, the Limgrave Tunnels dungeon in West Limgrave is the best early-game spot because the miners’ foes there drop them. They are, nevertheless, fairly tanky.

Elden Ring Bell Bearing goods may also be found at a vendor in Roundtable Hold to unlock Smithing Stones.

Elden Ring Somber Smithing Stones: How to get them

Somber Smithing Stones are used to level up unique equipment to a maximum of +9. While the number may not appear to be as spectacular as the +25 provided by standard equipment, unique weapons are often of higher quality from the start. Additionally,if you want to know about  Two-Hand and Power Stance Weapons, then you can check out our article.

They have different levels, just like regular Smithing Stones, and you must obtain the correct type to go to the next level. Each type of Somber Smithing Stone only adds one level to your equipment.

Somber Smithing Stones can be purchased from Iji the Blacksmith on the way up to Caria Manor in West Liguria in later games. He’s a nice guy who will even caution you against going into the manor, which is sound advice for any rational person. You can either use Iji as a blacksmith or return to the Roundtable Hold’s Smith Master Hewg.

Somber Stone Miner’s Bell Bearings, like regular Smithing Stones, allows the opportunity to purchase Somber Smithing Stones from the Twin Maiden Husks in the Roundtable Hold. Later in the game, near the First Church of Marika in the West Mountaintops of the Giants, you can find one of them. There are more strewn about the globe, so keep your eyes peeled. Finally, slaying Elden Ring’s invisible opponents, the Scarabs, can reward you with some of the rarer Smithing Stones, which may be found in abundance in the Mountaintops of the Giants and other parts of the Lands Between.
