The basis for using websites and applications on the internet is a Google account. It has connections to mobile apps, social media sites, email, and more. If your password is compromised or someone else has unauthorized access, protecting it against data breaches is essential. Here is our detailed advice on changing your Google password, in case you’ve lost it or would like a stronger password for increased protection.
How To Change Your Google Password
The following instructions will let you change your password to something stronger:
Step 1: Start by navigating to the Google account homepage and selecting Go to Google Account located in the upper right corner.
Step 2: Click Next after logging into your Google account using your login information.
Step 3: To get the information on how to sign in to Google, step 3 is to tap on Security in the left sidebar and scroll down.
Step 4:Choose the Password
Step 5: You will now need to log in once more.
Step 6:Click on Change Password after entering your new Google password in step six.
Step 1: First, turn on your Android tablet or phone and go to Settings.
Step 2: Move your cursor down and select Google.
Step 3: Choose Google Account Management.
Step 4:Proceed to the top and tap Security.
Step 5: To continue, you must log in once again.
Step 6:Click on Change Password after entering your new Google password.
Note: The initial letter of your Google password won’t be case-sensitive when inputting it on a mobile device.
iPhone & iPad
Step 1: Launch the Gmail app on your iPhone or iPad.
Remember to follow the instructions in the preceding section if you don’t already have a Gmail account. Go to myaccount.Google.com.
Step 2: Click on your initials or profile photo in the upper right corner.
Step 3:Select “Manage Your Google Account.”
Step 4:Choose Personal Info.
Step 5: Under Basic Information, select the Password link that appears underneath more details and Google service choices.
Step 6:Click on Change Password after entering your new password.
How To Reset Your Google Password
Should you misplace your Google password, you won’t be able to access your account and modify it. If so, you can use the following methods to reset your password and account:
Step 1: Launch a browser and navigate to Google Account Recovery.
Step 2: Click Next after entering your email address or login ID.
Step 3:Select “Try another way”.
Step 4: Select a sign-in method from the list of options.
Step 5: Validate your identity by responding to security questions.
Step 6: You should receive an email restoring your account after confirming your identity.
Reminder: If you are unable to locate the recovery email, make sure to check your bulk or spam mail folders, add noreply@Google.com to your address book, and then submit another email request. Don’t forget to review every email connected to your Google account.
Upon receiving the recovery email, proceed to step 7 to reset your Google password and get access back to your account.
Step 1: For Android users: Choose Settings > Google > Google Account Management > Password.
For owners of iPads or iPhones: Gmail > Manage Your Google Account > Settings > Personalization > Access Code.

Step 3: Verify your identification by following the instructions on the screen.
Step 4: You can now create a new password.
