The latest Mortal Kombat 1 trailer is a bloody, hairy affair

With each new Mortal Kombat 1 trailer that is released, Warner Bros. Games nearly seems to be attempting to outdo itself. You’re in for a major surprise if you have no idea what we are talking about.

The most recent Mortal Kombat 1 teaser, “Official Rulers of Outworld,” gives us a look at some of the new characters being added to the game’s cast as well as a different perspective on the narrative that NetherRealm Studios has recently revamped.

Shao Khan the Conqueror comes to mind. One of the most memorable foes in the Mortal Kombat universe is, of course, impossible to forget. As General Shao, a renowned warrior in the Outworld army, this iconic character, who was previously Emperor of Outworld, finds himself weaved into a different narrative thread.

He obviously wants to go to war with Earthrealm, but Sindel (whose character design is amazing) isn’t having it. She wishes to maintain harmony and carry on her late husband’s legacy through the Mortal Kombat competition as the current monarch of Edenia and the mother of Princess Kitana. At this point, LiuKang reveals that Raiden is the true champion of Earthrealm.

Raiden’s mastery of martial arts and his formidable control over deadly lightning abilities make it abundantly clear that he is more than capable of dealing some serious punishment, even against the most formidable enemies of Earthrealm, despite the fact that he may be a cabbage-farming monk in the upcoming game.

The reappearance of Motaro, the sub-boss from Mortal Kombat 3, and Shujinko, the main character of Konquest Mode in Mortal Kombat: Deception, will undoubtedly delight franchise devotees. The martial arts expert and the Centaurian warrior are scheduled to return as Kameo Fighters.

However, the teaser actually reaches its height near the end, giving us a peek of Sindel’s horrifyingly horrific demise. Even though we’ve already seen some incredibly amazing deaths, including Liu Kang’s mind-bending black hole death and Johnny Cage’s modern finisher, it’s safe to say that Sindel’s merciless deathblow raises the bar for deaths considerably.

While there were some skeptics among us when NetherRealm Studios announced that the franchise will be relaunched once more, they were quickly put to rest when the official trailer was released. The game is scheduled to debut on September 19 on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC through Steam. It will enable cross-play and cross-progression.
