Deadpool 3 has been the talk of the town, even with the Hollywood strikes still going on. Even though production has stopped, the filmmaker has given highly encouraging updates regarding the future picture.

In recent months, there have been numerous casting speculations for the film, involving everyone from Daredevil to Professor X. The film’s primary attraction, though, isn’t its extensive cast of characters; rather, it’s the genuine on-screen connection between Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds. After collaborating on X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the two have continued to have amusing conversations on social media.

Deadpool 3 director Shawn Levy discussed the onscreen chemistry between the film’s two actors in a recent interview with Deadline. Levy spoke of Deadpool 3 filming as “a joy every day.” Additionally, he said that Reynolds and Jackman’s chemistry was “everything the production team had hoped for.”

“Now let’s go to Deadpool 3: What’s going on?” stated Levy. “Well, we’re on hold, just like the majority of our industry, or at least a sizable portion of it. We were halfway through the Deadpool movie, which starred Wolverine as well. Every day was delightful, and that chemistry is—spoiler alert—every bit as consistently fantastic as we could have imagined.

“But we are halfway through filming,” he continues. We gave up. Together with our crew, the rest of us are waiting for a just and fair agreement to put an end to these strikes and return our industry—including our film—to work.”

Considering that the two actors were prohibited from performing improvisations during filming due to the writers’ strike, it’s intriguing to learn that their on-screen chemistry is remarkable. Reynolds and Jackman have primarily joked about their personalities and roles on social media. If the two were allowed to act silly like they do in real life, we think it would be a lot more enjoyable.

In addition to praising the relationship between Deadpool and Wolverine, Levi revealed that the film will have a R rating, just like the first two. The next sequel, which is being distributed by Disney, will follow the same formula that made the first two films a hit.

Deadpool 3 will still be R-rated like previous entries in the series.

Levy said, “I was not going to mess with the DNA of that franchise because, to me, Deadpool 1 is a perfect movie.” “Our film is unvarnished, bold, and definitely R-rated. We took considerable care to avoid filming it in digitally enhanced sound stages. The photographs from our shoot have been made public online, proving just that. “I appreciate the internet.”

However, we wanted something that felt grounded [and] real, so you put Hugh Jackman in his most famous role and Ryan Reynolds in his most famous character,” the filmmaker went on. It’s not so much a descendant of the airplane as it is of the Midnight Run, 48 Hours, Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, in my opinion.
