Red Dead Revolver, a lesser-known video game released in 2004, served as the launchpad for Red Dead Redemption, the popular gaming franchise that popularized the Wild West once more. It took Rockstar six years to make a greater impact on the gaming world with Red Dead Redemption, a game that was so highly regarded that it came to be associated with open-world western action.

Red Dead Redemption 2, which was more of an epic than a game, was launched by Rockstar in 2018 as if always surpassing themselves were a pastime. You would think it would be difficult to envision what comes next after all that grandeur, but Rockstar has never been one to back down from a challenge, even in a world where the word “next-gen” is bandied about like confetti.

At the Jefferies Virtual Global Interactive Entertainment Conference, Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar, spoke. He’s officially announced that a revival of the Red Dead Redemption franchise is in the horizon. You should, however, hold off on getting too excited because Zelnick was vague when it came to release dates. So, don’t hold your breath for a double whammy decade that includes both GTAVI and Red Dead Redemption 3.

As many are aware, Rockstar prioritizes quality above rapid turnaround. Like a fine wine, the company’s philosophy largely relies on letting their games “rest” so that, when they do come back, it’s like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that is breathtaking and well worth the wait.

Zelnick paused to draw a comparison between the legendary James Bond film franchise and his company’s blockbuster franchises, which include Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption. It will continue if it’s amazing, he declared. Rockstar’s track record shows that it is committed to carefully chosen experiences that prolong the life of their intellectual property, in addition to sequels. In a society where fast food is the norm and burnout is common, they represent the slow-cooking alternative to the microwaveable nibbles.

Nor is that all. Adding gasoline to the fire, a well-known leaker who is better renowned for Marvel and DC leaks than video games said that Red Dead Redemption 3 is “officially in the works.” Although these leaks haven’t been verified yet, fans are making assumptions regarding the forthcoming installment’s appearance.
