This year, tactical shooters are resurfacing thanks to new releases like Six Days in Falluja and the wildly popular Battle Bit.Tencent has joined the fray by revealing that it will be bringing back a legendary first-person shooter franchise.
The Timi Studio Group at Tencent is creating a new entry for Delta Force. At the Gamescom Opening Night Live later today, the game’s complete reveal is anticipated.
IGN received an early “tease” from the company that featured an exclusive gameplay trailer and a chat with producer Shadow Guo. The single-player campaign will be “based on the film Black Hawk Down,” according to the studio.
Players will be able to participate in real-life fights from the well-known movie, according to Guo. “Our crew has carefully examined the film and respectfully dived into the historical setting. We were able to develop an incredibly accurate and immersive gaming experience that perfectly reflects the spirit of that historic event thanks to our diligent study.
Guo added that the new Delta Force game intends to both capture the spirit of the 1998 original and reflect the genre’s development. The upcoming episode will include individuals from real life and record movement from military experts.
According to Guo, “Our goal is to retain the genuine essence of the original Delta Force game while including a near-future feel from both a creative and narrative standpoint. To accomplish this, “we developed the overarching storyline with realistic themes, used real-life actors for character building, used photogrammetry to create a 3D world, captured tactical movements from military professionals, and sought advice from former Special Forces personnel to ensure an authentic tone of resolute realism and professionalism within the military theme.”

Like the original game, Delta Force will also feature a sizable PvP multiplayer component. Similar to Battlefield games, the PvP mode will feature ground, sea, and air action.
“Instead of sticking with the old 32-player cap, our game designers decided to create an immersive multiplayer battleground that could support even more PVP players. We developed a range of engagement techniques and engagement maps that incorporate distinct terrain elements including vertical height variations, caves, and multiple vehicle routes in order to create a grand mood of fighting on land, sea, and air.
Assault vehicles, helicopters, armored vehicles, attack boats, terrain vehicles, jeeps, pickups, fighter jets, and drones are just a few of the cutting-edge vehicles we developed for the game. The gameplay of massive PVP is enhanced by these vehicles.
In 2024, Delta Force will be available on PC, consoles, and mobile devices.
