Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge‘s publisher, Dotemu, and developers Tribute Games, in a move likely to please fans of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, have announced the arrival of the much awaited Dimension Shellshock DLC.

On August 31, the $7.99 downloadable DLC will be on sale for all platforms, including PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox.
Not simply any DLC, Dimension Shellshock is unique. As players are exposed to a wealth of new features, it boasts a distinctive fusion of innovation and nostalgia. A reality-altering Survival mode lies at the heart of the upcoming expansion. Players can jump between different dimensions in this area, each of which has a unique atmosphere and obstacles. The DLC’s objective is to gather Dimension Crystals, either to access new realms or to obtain perk- and mutation-changing benefits. Players might anticipate squaring off against the infamous supervillain Shredder, who is out to rule the multiverse, if rumors are to be believed.
Two new playable characters, Miyamoto Usagi and Karai, are entering the game, which is exciting.
In 1987, Miyamoto Usagi, a character from his own comic book series called Usagi Yojimbo, first ventured into the world of the turtles. The rabbit samurai adds a new flavor to the gameplay dynamics when wielding a samurai blade. Karai, a 1992 addition to the cast, provides her own distinctive brand of panache. With her nimble ninjutsu abilities, Karai—known for her quick wit and “signature snark”—is sure to be a powerful addition to the team. Her complicated relationship with the Foot Clan—she is occasionally portrayed as Shredder’s deputy or even his adopted daughter—creates an intriguing dynamic in the Turtleverse. Relationships with this former Foot Clan member, however, are not always easy. Despite her prior relationships, she has occasionally sided with the turtles when grave threats to both sides were present.

There is also something to look forward to for music lovers. The creator of the original game’s music, Tee Lopes, has created brand-new songs for Dimension Shellshock. This adds layers of immersive experience that the TMNT fandom will definitely treasure, along with additional Easter eggs and alternate color schemes for characters.
The surprises, however, don’t end here. All gamers will gain access to a free update that brings an increased selection of color palette options in time for the DLC launch. Tribute Games and Dotemu are continuing their dedication to improving the player experience with this. The developers have released more content since their December update, which included customisable gaming options.
