- After six years, Turn 10 Studios is gearing up for the release of Forza Motorsport.
- The latest installment boasts hyper-realistic tracks, cars, and racing dynamics, but it comes with a hefty installation size of 130GB.
- Forza Motorsport offers detailed replicas of real-life tracks, authentic vehicle sounds, and appearances, justifying the large size.
Restarting its engines, Forza Motorsport is poised to make a dramatic return following a six-year break. The scale of the game’s installation is something that even if fans are excited for its arrival, they might not be ready for.
The creators of this incredible racer, Turn 10 Studios, have released some breathtaking gameplay videos that highlight the incredibly realistic tracks, vehicles, and racing dynamics of their game. The level of detail in both the American Maple Valley course and the Japanese Hakone endurance race is astounding.
Nevertheless, the cost of such beauty is high for the storage on your console—at least 130GB of disk space are required. Thankfully, the Xbox Series X and S come in 1TB variants, so you know you have plenty of capacity. If that’s still not enough, you can add more storage to either system by using a 2TB extension card.
Even if we’re used to games using up a lot of storage space, Forza Motorsport is really unmatched. Compared to its predecessor, Forza Motorsport 7, the upcoming game will require at least an extra 30GB of your valuable storage.
But based on what we’ve seen so far—the game imitating real-life tracks like the Kyalami Grand Prix and the Suzuka Circuit in Japan, in addition to the real-life sounds and looks of the featured vehicles—it’s evident that no concessions were made during production.
Turn 10 Studios has also revealed three new multiplayer modes: Rivals, Private Multiplayer, and Featured Multiplayer, in addition to all these features. A realistic race weekend is provided by Featured Multiplayer, which includes events that correspond to actual time.
You can take the wheel as the host and invite your friends to race without worrying about ratings when you use Private Multiplayer. All racing aficionados will find the Rivals mode, which focuses on setting the fastest lap times, to be an exciting challenge for those who love fierce rivalry.
Sadly, some elements from earlier games—like split-screen multiplayer, the lack of a spectator mode, and AI racers in multiplayer—have been carried over to the pit stop. Certain sacrifices have to be made in order to support Turn 10 Studios’ focus on enhancing Forza Motorsport’s aesthetics, but we should all be confident in the studio’s vision for the game.
for October 10, Forza Motorsport will be available for PC through Steam and Xbox Series X/S. You can pre-order it right now, and you’ll receive up to five days of early access if you choose the Premium Edition or Premium Add-Ons Bundle.
