Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth’s official release date has not yet been announced by Square Enix. The game will launch in early 2024, the studio has revealed. There is no set release date for the game throughout the first four months.
The original release date for the second installment of the intended trilogy was set for 2023. But Square Enix said that the game would not launch until early 2024 at the June Summer Game Fest. Although there was no explanation provided by the company, delaying the release helps Final Fantasy 16 draw in more gamers. April 10, 2020 saw the release of Final Fantasy 7 Remake; it’s probable that Square Enix would choose a release window akin to that. It’s hard to say for sure because nothing has been formally revealed yet.
The PlayStation 5 is the only platform for which the impending sequel has been confirmed, however it is most likely going to be a timed exclusive, much as the PS4’s Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
