There was a consensus that things would change when James Gunn and Peter Safran came over DC Studios last year. The two were given the responsibility of directing the redesigned DC Studios and creating an interwoven universe of feature films, cartoons, and television shows for Marvel Studios.
A few weeks after they gained control, Gunn stated that video games would also be a part of their reality. It appears that the two are now working more diligently on that part of their plan.
A fan of DC on Twitter used his sleuthing abilities a few days ago. James Sigfield, a fan, discovered a job posting from Warner Bros. Games-owned video game studio Monolith Productions. The upcoming Wonder Woman video game and Warner’s Middle Earth series were created by this firm.
Monolith Productions (Middle Earth, Wonder Woman) might have multiple DC projects in development, according to a job posting for an “Executive Producer.”
The post states that they will “oversee development for multiple projects” and must have “DC franchise knowledge.” pic.twitter.com/wFqViuGYWv

For the position of Executive Producer, applications were requested in the posting. According to the job description, the incumbent will supervise the creation of “multiple projects.” This sounds like a typical job with the standards that any video game studio’s executive producer would need to meet. The posting from Monolith Productions, however, states “DC Franchise Knowledge” under the part labeled “The Nice to Haves,” and this says a lot.
Every DC Studios film has performed poorly at the box office since the rise of Gunn and Safran. Shazam! Fury of the Gods, The Flash, and the newest film, Blue Beetle, which is still playing in theaters, are all guaranteed to make the company lose money.

Despite the fact that Gunn and Safran did not design these initiatives, the significant losses they caused Warner will put pressure on the duo to quickly turn things around. We have no doubt that they will take DC Studios to new heights if they can execute their plan for the universe, create coherence across every project regardless of the media format, and engage fans.
The two are currently working diligently to realize their cosmic vision. Their first endeavor, a cartoon series called Creature Commandos, is now in production and is expected to air the following year. Superman: Legacy, the first full-length movie, is scheduled for release in 2025. It is currently being created.
