Cyberpunk 2077’s latest patch adds new life quality changes

Cyberpunk 2077 may just go down in history as the most hyped game of all time. From the developers of the Witcher series, CD Projekt Red, Cyberpunk was expected to set the tone of the genre for generations as it would truly change the open-world experience offering players a litany of different objectives, exploration, character development, freedom of choice, and much more. Unfortunately, Cyberpunk 2077 ended up being just in the middle, with some fans loving it, but most being disappointed, primarily due to the bugs and glitches that made the game unplayable and even nonsensical at times. CD Projekt Red has endeavored to make the required changes to make the game as great as expected and Patch 1.23 intends to implement such changes.

Firstly, there were a plethora of changes made to the quests and the open-world systems as fans had major gripes with those two aspects and they were genuine stopping blocks in terms of game completion and progression. Quests such as Family Matters, The Heist, and Getting Warmer were just three out of seventeen quests that were fixed. Furthermore, the stability and performance were changed to resolve numerous crashes from animation, UI, physics, and gameplay systems. Memory and CPU optimizations were made to help with streaming and general gameplay stability. Besides that, the visuals were shaken up to ensure that there is no clipping in NPC’s clothing and that Johnny’s spectral appearance in various quests is fixed. For gameplay, minor changes were made to the quality of life such as fixing issues of NPC’s body getting stuck in cars or dropping due to too much destruction and fixing Adam Smasher, who would receive damage during his attacking phase.
