Trap Bobber
- The catching bar decreases 66% slower.
- Purchased for 500 gold.
- Crafted using Copper Bar x1 and Sap x10.
Cork Bobber
- Slightly increases the size of your fishing bar.
- Purchased for 750 gold.
- Crafted using Wood x10, Hardwood x5, and Slime x10.
Lead Bobber
- Prevents your fishing bar from bouncing on the bottom of the gauge.
- Purchased for 200 gold.
- Cannot be crafted.
Treasure Hunter
- Fish don’t escape while collecting treasures and increases the chance to find treasure.
- Purchased for 750 gold.
- Crafted using Gold Bar x2
Barbed Hook
- Adds a “clinging” effect to your fishing bar.
- Purchased for 1,000 gold.
- Crafted using Copper Bar x1, Iron Bar x1, and Gold Bar x1
How to catch legendary fish?
As we said earlier, getting proper equipment is very vital in catching legendary fish. To actually catch legendary fish here are the equipment that you need to purchase:
- Rod – You need to buy an Iridium Rod which will be unlocked after fishing level 6. Also, it can only be purchased at Willy’s shop for 7,500g. It will drastically slow the overall difficulty of catching the fish.
- Fishing Bait – You can use any normal bait that can be bought from Willy’s shop for 5g. However, if you want to take things up a notch, you can craft wild bait. But for that, you need to have 4 hearts with Linus and enter the mountain between 8 Pm and 12 AM on a sunny or snowy day. (savethechimps.org)
- Fishing tackle – Now when it comes to tackles, it can only be attached to Iridium Rods. So, once you buy the Iridium Rod, you need to buy the Trap Bobber. The main advantage of this tackle is it reduces the fish’s escape speed when you are not reeling it in. This tackle can be bought at Willy’s fish for 500g but you need to reach at least fishing level 6.
Where to find stardew legendary fish?
You need to manage your inventory space properly in order to store legendary fish. Moreover, each legendary fish can be only caught once per save the file. Angler
The easiest legendary fish to catch, the Angler only requires fishing Level 3. So, you can easily catch this fish evern at the initial levels in your game.

Crimsonfish

- To reach this area, you have to fix the bridge first for 300 wood

Glacierfish
Next up is Glacierfish that requires fishing Level 6. Also, it needs to be caught within a specific time frame. Otherwise, you will lose any chance to catch this legendary fish.

- Must be caught before 10:00 p.m.

Unlike the other legendary fish, the fish actually called Legend does require fishing Level 10 to grab. Legend fetches the highest price of all fish and of any single item at 15,000 gold!
- Catch in Mountain Lake
- Can be caught in Any season
- Must be raining
- Higher bite chance closer to the log
- Must be caught before 10:00 p.m
Mutant Carp
This mutant fish can only be found by casting in the sewer. Yeah, gross. While there aren’t many restrictions on catching the fish, this does take some work to access first.
- Catch in the sewer
- Need the rusty sewer key obtained by donating 60 artifacts or minerals to Gunther at the museum
- Can be caught during any season
- The weather has no effect
