The Pok mon universe is releasing some huge changes that you’ll want to be a part of as soon as possible, so if you’re a fan, mark your calendars.
Hey, pal. Fans are giddy about the multiweek-long Mewtwo Tera Raid Battle that Scarlet and Violet have unleashed, but there are still more DLCs, new Pok mon, and essential gameplay features in the works.
Take on the Mightiest Mewtwo in a seven-star Tera Raid Battle that may be the hardest you’ve ever seen from September 1 to September 18. In addition to reintroducing the fabled Psychic Pok mon Mewtwo into the mix, this specific raid ups the difficulty level. With maxed-out Effort Values, a massive HP boost, and an arsenal that includes moves like Psystrike, Aura Sphere, Ice Beam, and Calm Mind, Mewtwo is not your typical opponent. If you defeat him, you’ll not only get to brag about it, but you’ll also have the opportunity to add this enormous monster to your collection—complete with a Mightiest Mark.
Now, there are a few hurdles to clear before you even consider facing Mewtwo. You must have finished the game, repeated every gym, won the Ace Tournament, and taken part in a minimum of ten 4-star and 5-star Tera Raids in order to be eligible for this seven-star Tera Raid. The Tera Raid event is an endgame challenge that will put your skills as a Pok mon Trainer to the test; it is definitely not for beginners.
In terms of tactics, you should definitely step up and use your finest Ghost, Bug, and Dark-type Pokemon to take advantage of Mewtwo’s weaknesses. This is the perfect time to bring out your Mew, if you have one. During this raid, Mew has a 20% increase to all stats and a 50% boost to HP owing to the Mightiest Mark. Mew is a multipurpose Pok mon with a large move pool. It can also be a great support Pok mon, debuffing Mewtwo with techniques like Mud Slap and Struggle Bug or setting up Light Screen.
However, there’s still more to come. Momotari, a Japanese folktale, is a major inspiration for the new Pok that will be added in TheTeal Mask DLC. It also adds a 19th Tera Type, whose abilities are still unknown.Later this year, a new Paradox Pok mon and a Legendary Pok mon Terapagos will be revealed with the second DLC, The Indigo Disc.
Did we also mention that Mew is also for sale? To claim a level 5 Mew with moves like Swift, Light Screen, Life Dew, and a move linked to a particular Tera Type, simply enter the code GETYOURMEW in the Mystery Gift section of the in-game menu. Mew will also have a Mightiest Mark, just like Mewtwo. Don’t wait around—this offer expires on September 18th.
It’s an exciting moment to be a Pok mon Trainer with the heart-pounding Mewtwo Tera Raid, the prospect of new Pok mon, and the ever-expanding game DLCs. So assemble your allies, plan with your strongest Pok mon, and get ready. It’s going to be an exciting few weeks in the Pok mon universe.
