The free PS Plus monthly games reveal is always a highlight for PlayStation Plus subscribers.
Unfortunately, however, there’s bad news for fans awaiting the July 2021 free PS5 and PS4 games reveal, because it’s still over a week away.
Because of the way the dates fall, Sony isn’t expected to reveal the next wave of PlayStation Plus games until 4.30 pm June 30.
The July 2021 PS Plus releases will be available to download and play less than a week later on July 6.
While there’s always a chance Sony will break with tradition and announce the games early, this seems unlikely without a State of Play event in the diary.
It’s more likely that the next batch of PlayStation Plus free games will leak ahead of the scheduled reveal.
Indeed, if the latest reports are to be believed, one PS Plus free game may have already leaked.
According to the rumors, the PS5 version of A Plague Tale Innocence could be included in the July 2021 PS Plus line-up.
The rumors mainly revolve around the plans for the PS5 and Xbox Series X upgrades of A Plague Tale.

A Plague Tale: Innocence is getting a next-gen upgrade on July 6, which is the same day the PS Plus games will be available to download.
With the game also coming to Xbox Game Pass, the thinking is that it would be a great fit for PlayStation Plus, especially with the announcement of a sequel.
The next-gen Plague Tale update will include a visual boost for 4K graphics and 60 frames-per-second gameplay.
Needless to say, the PS5 version will support 3D Audio, while DualSense functionality is also expected.
A unique game involving Inquisition soldiers and swarms of rats, A Plague Tale is currently sitting pretty with an 81% score on Metacritic.
PlayStation share the best of PS Plus
“Follow the grim tale of young Amicia and her little brother Hugo, in a heartrending journey through the darkest hours of history.
“Hunted by Inquisition soldiers and surrounded by unstoppable swarms of rats, Amicia and Hugo will come to know and trust each other.
“As they struggle to survive against overwhelming odds, they will fight to find purpose in this brutal, unforgiving world.”
The sequel – which was announced during E3 – will launch on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch (via the cloud) in 2022.
